What is the favorite book you remember as a child?
A Wrinkle in Time
Tell us about your current book in 10 words.
Humorous mystery within a mystery where Clue meets Knives Out.
What are you reading right now?
Death at the White Hart by Chris Chibnall and Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain (the annotated version, which is quite fun)
E-Reader or print? and why?
Print. I’m old school – I need that book in my hands. Plus, I like to look ahead to see how long a chapter is (which is not a good sign for the book), and flip back to find clues I have tagged (when reading a mystery).
One book at a time or multiples?
Usually one, unless I need to get a book club book finished, like right now.
Dog-ear or bookmark? (don't worry—Librarian Judith won't hold it against you—much)
Bookmark for sure. I feel like when a book is dog-eared it is being hurt.
Least favorite book you've read this year?
Death in the Air by Ram Murali.
Favorite place to read?
In my chair.
Favorite genre?
Mystery.
Do you loan your books?
Reluctantly because they’re hard to get back. I recently set aside several books for my wife to loan to a friend who was having foot surgery, but in the end, he didn’t need them. That made me happy – hence my “reluctantly” at the beginning of this answer.
Favorite book to recommend?
All of Richard Osman’s books from the Thursday Murder Club series. Plus, Benjamin Stevenson’s Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone.
How do you keep your books organized?
I don’t.
Re-reader or not?
Re-reader, but after several years.
What would make you not finish a book?
It’s pretty hard for me not to finish a book. But if the pacing is so slow
Keep books or give them away?
Keep the ones I like. Give away the ones I don’t like.
